Whew, March has been jam packed with activities that my blog posts have slowed down! I actually did this entire project early this month, but it took a while to make the garment and then to photograph it. This was meant to be part of the yellow week of Sew Happy Color, read more at my previous blog post! First off – here’s a peek … Continue reading How To: Easy DIY Turmeric Tie-Dye!

Back on night shifts for this month 🌙 grateful for weekends that remind me that I’m still a human 😛 I’ve consumed enough coffee machine americanos than any person should consume in a lifetime ☕️ but I’m learning a lot! 🧠
On March 2nd, the Texas governor lifted the state-wide mask mandate. This is a huge disappointment given that vaccines are still not a reality for the majority of the population, and we are still seeing the tremendous strain that this pandemic is having on our healthcare system.
Just felt like this jumpsuit deserved another photo on the grid 💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️ comment below what type of Zadie jumpsuit I should make next! Or your favorite jumpsuit pattern 😉 I’m in desperate need of inspiration!
After a week of staying at my boyfriend’s apartment, happy to say that I have both water and electricity! My plants are extremely thirsty and now I need to clean out my freezer and fridge, but that’s a problem for future Danica 🤪 thanks for all the well wishes, friends! I’ve never been more thrilled to watch my toilet flush 🚽
today i have an impromptu day off due to freezing temperatures in the city of Houston! 🥶 I have almost no handmade winter wear apart from this coat — swipe for surprise sushi 🍣 lining! This is absolutely the beauty of making your own clothes 😎 enjoy these pics from 2019 on my last trip to Paris 🇫🇷
Happy Valentine’s Day! A day late but mostly because I spent a bunch of quality time with Will ♥️
roses are red🌹, violets are blue 💐, DIY masks are adorable 🥰, I made just a few 😷
beep beep new free pattern alert 🚨 I made the newest free pattern from @peppermintmagazine and @elbe_textiles - the Bardon Dress! I made it from some leftover double gauze from @joann_stores and it’s so exceptionally comfy cozy ☺️ for the dress, I made no changes but if I make it again I’d likely shorten the bodice by an inch! It’s definitely a beginner level pattern, using only bias tape as facing for the neckline and arms. PS check out my Instagram guides for more free patterns!
