January in Review

Wowowow, this month has flew by! It’s been a big month of growth for me – I hit 100 followers on Instagram at the beginning of January but by the end I had just over 400! It blows my mind that every time I post something, there are around 400 people that get to see what I put into the world 🌎. Thank you so much for your support!

Thoughts: My first midi skirt, love the fun notch on the waistband!

Would I make again? YES! So many fabrics would go well with this skirt 😍

what’s the story, morning glory? || pattern review

I got an overlocker! oooh boy was I excited to use it, but truth be told, I knew nothing about what supplies to buy, how to thread it, how to turn it on, etc. I think I’ll be learning about how to use it for the rest of 2019! My cousin got me the Brother 1034D overlocker, seen in this pic here:

For my first overlocker experiment, I chose a quick make that I’ve been eyeing on Instagram for a few months – the Morning Glory Top from Sarah Kirsten (link here!) As this was my first time using this pattern, I didn’t want to cut into any fancy fabric in my stash quite yet. I used about 1.5 yards some quilting cotton I got from the clearance sale at Joann Fabrics at ~$3/yard.
